The next upcoming Speaker Luncheon featuring

Halsey Spruance

will be held  on Wednesday, January 18

 

12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m.

 

Halsey Spruance has been the Executive Director of the Delaware Museum of
Natural History since December 2007.

 

The Museum opened in 1972 to excite and inform people about the natural
world through exploration and discovery. It is the only natural history
museum in Delaware and houses the state’s only permanent dinosaur display,
surrounded by exhibits of mammals, shells, and other artifacts from around
the world. The Museum houses world-renowned collections of mollusks and
birds, including the second largest collection of birds’ eggs in North
America. Following a major renovation in 2005, the Museum experienced
increased visitation and membership as well as expanded educational
offerings and popular special exhibits.
