On Saturday, April 29, the School District of Philadelphia will administer=

its entrance test for current third and seventh graders in private and=20
parochial schools who want to attend the District=E2=80=99s special admissio=
n schools,=20
beginning in September 2007. =20
Test application forms are available at any Philadelphia public school.=20
Applications also are available at the lobby of the School District Educati=
on=20
Center, Main Lobby, 440 N. Broad Street, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (Please=20=
note=20
that schools are closed April 10 through 14 for spring break and the=20
Education Center is closed on Friday, April 14.) Completed applications ar=
e due at=20
the Office of Assessment, Second Floor, Portal A, Education Center, 440 N.=20
Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19130 by the end of business on Monday April 1=
0.=20
No one will be admitted to the test without having registered in advance.=20
The District=E2=80=99s special admission schools include: =20
=C2=B7 Academy at Palumbo, Bodine, Carver, Central, Creative and=20
Performing Arts (CAPA), Franklin Learning Center (FLC), Philadelphia HS for=20=
Girls,=20
Northeast Med., Engineering and Aerospace, NW Parkway HS for Peace and Conf=
lict=20
Resolution, Parkway Center City, Parkway West, Saul HS for Agricultural=20
Sciences and Science Leadership Academy; and=20

The test will be given for current third and seventh graders from 8:30 a. m=

to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 at:=20
=C2=B7 Benjamin Franklin High School, Broad and Green Streets=20
=C2=B7 Philadelphia High School for Girls, Broad Street and Olney=20
Avenue, and=20
=C2=B7 Northeast High School, Cottman and Algon Avenues=20
Students who may need special accommodation in the testing process due to a=

disability must contact the Office of Assessment at 215-400-5818 immediatel=
y=20
to make the necessary arrangements.=20
Students whose religious beliefs prevent them from taking the test on a=20
Saturday will be tested on Wednesday, May 3 at the School District Educati=
on=20
Center, 440 N. Broad Street. Parents of these students must call 215-400-58=
18 by=20
April 13 before completing the test application.=20
Current charter and public school students interested in entering these=20
special admission schools in September 2007 do not need to take this test.=20=
