Peak oil piquing public's interest

WHAT'S THE FEAR?
That global oil production will soon begin to decline and never return to
levels that have supported American lifestyles.
WHY?
Global consumption of oil has steadily increased and is expected to continue
to grow. Some experts say discoveries of oil have slowed and that there is
little left to be found.
IMPACT?
Some believe Americans will have to give up large houses, gas-guzzling
vehicles and congregate in smaller rural communities, where they will use low-energy
sources and won't require long-distance transport of food.

today's posting regarding Iraq.)--J. Brown
