One of the trade papers here has an article on who were the heroes to 
CH folks for 2004. Forty two employees and customers of the Migros 
grocery store at the Zurich airport were asked to name their hero.

A lot named family members, boy/girl friends, etc. A few named sports 
champions or fellow workers. There was one former Miss CH named. One 
member of the Federal Council was named (the foreign minister, a woman 
named Calmy-Rey). Michael Moore got one vote. George W. Bush got one 
vote too.

I see in this the fact that at least here, most people find their 
heroes close to them and not so much who are depicted as such by the 
media. The family circle here in CH seems to be closely knit.
