Hussein has invaded two of his neighbors--Iran and Kuwait.  He has also used 
chemical weapons against his own people and against Iran.   

It's interesting that Bush (politically conservative) and Blair (politically 
liberal) are taking strong, principled and very risky stands against Iraq.

Thomas Friedman (columnist for the New York Times) noted a couple of days ago 
that anyone that thinks Bush is going after Iraq for political reasons is 
nuts.  Friedman (who cautiously supports Bush) said that Bush is taking one 
of the biggest gambles in history.
