How about this? A local company in the area has come out with a snow 
cannon for home use. This thing costs about 2800 US$ and is a small 
version of those used on the lower ski slopes to give good snow cover. 
Just think, some of those guys who slave over having a great looking 
lawn in the summer can now be the first on the block to have a nice 
snow covered yard even if the winter doesn't cooperate. Even do the 
driveway, so the kids can get exercise shoveling.

The company is quick to point out that this thing is useful as a 
pressure washer in the warmer months.
