[Culturechat] retirement in CH

According to my friend, Herr Britschgi, retirement rules here are not 
standardized by law. Self employed folks can work until they drop. Those 
working for corporations, governments, etc. usually have a set time (age 
65), but exceptions are made in the case of essential employees that are 
hard to replace. There are also "consultant" positions available sometimes.

Volunteerism has made its appearance in CH in recent years. Before it 
was unheard of and thought to be bad because it deprived others of 
paying jobs. That seems to have gone by the wayside with the general 
population living longer now.

Headhunter organizations are now on the scene also. Gone are the days of 
"one job for life".
