The Chemours Company

 

Erich Parker leads corporate communications and brand for Chemours and has
since the company spun off from DuPont in 2015.  He joined DuPont in 2008 as
communications director of the company's safety and protection businesses.
Two years later, as creative director and global director of corporate
communications, he led the team that created Horizons, the BBC World News
documentary series that celebrates science-based problem solving.  In
connection with that work, he executive produced over 40 mini-documentaries
that have been recognized around the world as branded content at its finest.
Prior to joining DuPont, Erich was principal of his own public relations and
marketing communications firm based in Washington, DC, and Manhattan. 

During his patchwork professional past, Erich has founded a magazine,
Contingencies; served as public affairs advisor to the Secretary of Energy
of the U.S. Department of Energy; created and directed a Spanish-language
soap opera; and provided one-on-one communications coaching to a host of
well-known and deservedly obscure people.  The first decade of his working
life, he sang opera on stages throughout Europe.  

He holds a master of communications degree from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill and is accredited by the Public Relations Society of
America. Throughout his career, his work has received industry recognition,
including five Silver Anvils, the Oscar of the public relations field in the
United States; two Clios; six Tellys; and over a dozen other awards for
writing, film production, and graphic design.
