[Shopsite-user] Shopsite Upgrade

DCANet Shopsite Customers:

Tonight, January 2nd, 2002, at 9:00 p.m. DCANet will perform an 
upgrade to the Shopsite software running on our shared servers.  
Stores will be off-line for a brief period of time (5-10 minutes) while 
the upgrade is taking place.

Below is a list of a few of the new features that will be available 
after the upgrade to some Shopsite users:

New Features in ShopSite 5.0

-Inventory Tracking
Merchants with ShopSite Pro stores can now track the inventory 
on any products in their stores. ShopSite can notify merchants of 
low stock and out-of-stock conditions, and can prevent customers 
from ordering products that are out of stock. Merchants can 
configure thresholds for each product, as well as the messages 
that they and customers see.

-Ordering Options and Quantity
can now be specified on the Product Page in addition to the 
shopping cart page.

-Improved User Experience
The store setup wizard, database upload and download, and 
database maintenance have all been revised for easier use.

-On-line Help
has been improved for easier use.

-Database Improvements
The internal ShopSite Database has been modified for faster 
performance.

-The merchant can replace the "This store is powered by ShopSite 
web catalog software." message that is displayed on the bottom of 
the Thankyou screen and in the Shopper's email receipt.

-Currencies that do not use a decimal
point (e.g. Italian Lira) will no longer have them displayed.
