<DIV>I agree with the OP, even if I could, I would never try to carry on so much that both pieces could only fit in the overhead bins-one overhead, and one under the seat-if that doesn't work, I re-pack, or check something. The sizes you are describing doesn't sound like either would fit under your seat-</DIV>
