I have just checked "Insure my trip"  , I think the people from Australia should note very carefully the exclusions.  I note, for example, that any heart condition which requires medication(ie nitro) is excluded.  I have found that with my husbands condition he has to have a underwritten policy which will cover his pre existing heart condition.
     I have a friend who broke her leg in Florida, the insurance company wouldn't pay because it was determined that she had fallen 6 mos. less a day prior to her fall, and hence was not covered.  $8,000!  you do have to watch the fine print! I have heard that Medi Pac is especially geared to dealing with seniors, and gives good coverage to snow birds.
