Hej!
In 2006, my wife and I stayed at the Kung Carl Hotel, which we liked very
much: attractive rooms, convenient location. I think it¹s in the medium
price range. A word to the wise: there are rooms which face the inner
atrium, and rooms that face the street, and of course we asked for one
facing the street, for the fresh air and light. Mistake! Well, maybe not,
but what we hadn¹t taken into consideration is that Stockholm in the summer
is alive all night, and the partying at the café across the street (outdoor
tables, of course) went on to the wee hours. Retrospectively, us old folks
would have preferred a little more quiet.
I have heard of a hotel called, I think, the Birger Jarls, which is supposed
to be clean and inexpensive. I am sure both these hotels are on the Web.
Lycka till! (Good Luck)
Ron
