Oh, you are sooooooooo lucky to be going to the Castle. We only stayed one
week and wished it was two. The Baron and Lilo are the most wonderful hosts
and you will learn about a great deal about the castle. They both speak
perfect English.
Traveling around was very easy and a lot of fun! In Nuremberg be sure and
go to the Hitler Museum. It is quite a learning experience. Also, in
Nuremberg try to stay out of the red light district. We accidentally drove through
it and I was afraid my husband was going to drive up on the sidewalk from
gawking. Hahah
Our apartment was on the second floor of the" new" building. The apartments
in the castle are a little harder to get to. We went in the spring. There
were a few warm days, some rain and at night we slept under a duvet. There
was one day when we were on the Rhine that it was 100 F. The locals loved it
and were out in mass. Me, I was sweating. But, on the whole we were
comfortable.
Have a great time.
Leslie in S. CA
