[Idyllchat] Wearing a fanny pack in Paris

Bill,
I have used my fanny pack in Paris, and other pickpocket prone places
but only for my camera, a map, a small package of Kleenex and a small
bottle of Purel. Even with the camera, I am very careful as to where
the zipper end is located. One time on a Prague metro, someone
managed to get it partially unzipped before I caught it. As much as I
would regret loosing my camera, it is no where the problem of loosing
my credit card, ATM card or passport.
Your wife might consider what my wife does. She wears her money belt
under her clothes in the back in the small of her back. Obviously, I
am the one who handles getting to ready cash and credit card for day
use from my money belt. Normally, you know well in advance when you
are going to need your passport so she can retrieve it in an
inconspicuous location before needing it. Extra cash, our extra
credit and ATM cards are safe for her to carry in the money belt.
The bottom line is that I would never carry my cash, credit card, ATM
card or passport in a zippered fanny pack in Paris or anywhere else
except walking through a meadow with only cows around.
