[Idyllchat] Single travel - Venice

On one of my Untours to Venice, there was a single lady who seemed to thoroughly enjoy herself.  Lots of  support from Denny and the other Untourists.  No need to worry about cars/driving etc.  Transportation is your own two feet, or the vaporetti (water buses) if you get tired of walking.  # 1 vaporetto travels the length of the Grand Canal every 10 minutes.  There is no danger in walking alone at night either, and the calles are all well-lit - maybe too much so for the occasional lovers who try to find a dark corner!  Neighborhoods are generally quiet at night, except in Campo Santa Marguerita, where there is activity late into the evening. I've been on three Untours to Venice, and then alone for two and three months at a time three different years.  I've never run out of things to do and see.  It's kinda nice to go and do what I want without worrying if my traveling comrades want to do the same! You can read of some of my adventures in my blog below.
