[Idyllchat] Stick vs. automatic shifts

Actually, modern automatics are very efficient, and while a stick gets
better mileage, it's usually only 1-2 mpg different. The real advantage is
to be able to control the engine on an under powered 1.4L - 1.6L 4-cylinder
engine. With a stick, you can rev the engine higher, and get better
performance out of the engine. Engine control is the main reason why I alway
buy cars with manual transmissions. (And the things you can do in snow!)
