Our experience was the same as Lynanne's except we didn't purchase
the tickets until the afternoon of the concert. We were visiting the
cathedral, under restoration, saw the night's announcement, got there
early and enjoyed it, albeit a small cathedral.....thus a small
crowd. No heat, just folding chairs with no cushions, just people
like us siting in topcoats over sweaters, etc., all enjoying a
special evening in Venice; that place makes everything
