Thievery doesn't just happen in Europe.  My husband and I with another  
couple were in the Miami International Airport.  As women do after getting  off a 
flight, we went to the Ladies' room.  Left the men "guarding" the  hand luggage.
 
When we got back we went to pick up the luggage off of the floor and guess  
what, missing one bag.  
 
How it happened? A young woman came up to them needing help and being  
gallant they talked to her and tried to help.  Well, by helping her an  accomplice 
came up from behind(?) and grabbed a bag.  I'm sure they  were very 
disappointed....it held my husbands RX's and overnight needs.  I  had the camera, etc in 
a very cheap, flowery handbag.  We were able to go  to a drugstore and have 
his medicines replaced for the rest of the trip.
