[Idyllchat] response time from Lake Garda sites

I'm planning a June 2008 trip that includes a 5 night stay in Sirmione on Lago di Garda, and during the last month (from early Dec) have sent several requests for reservations, via lake garda/ hotel secure websites.  I have not received any responses or acknowledgements to either my original emails or recent follow-ups.

I know that much of the lake is closed for the winter, but I would expect (as an impatient americano) that the site would post a message regarding when they will be accepting requests or at least an auto-response to confirm receipt of my request.

I often book hotels via venere.com, but all of the ones that I want are either not served or are currently unavailable on that site.  When that has happened in the past, I have usually been able to contact the hotels directly regarding availability.

Should I be concerned or is this just my american expectations vs. the italian more relaxed concept of time?

Anyone have any experience with this?
