While in Switzerland, my wife and I has local SIM's for our phone, but our
friend had a work phone from Cingular(AT&T) that was activated for
International Calls. We were able to call him by calling the US
internationally (we had Swiss phone numbers) and he could do the same in
reverse to get us. He had a Blackberry and was able to get his email, surf
the internet, and make calls no problem. I have no idea what that cost
because his company was picking up the bill. He took several calls from work
including one from a senior vice president which he used to justify the use
of the phone.
