I have used a Mobal phone for several years now, when in Europe.  In  
2006 we had a large family group, 12 of us, with diverse interests in  
the Swiss Heartland.  An unexpected benefit was to have everyone go  
off in different directions or interests and still stay in contact  
with individual phones.  My son had a different phone he bought in  
the airport in Zurich, my daughters each had others.  If you travel  
maybe once a year or every other year to Europe, it seems to be  
perfect and sits in the drawer the rest of the time.  I have been  
told that I can also move the SIM chip from the Mobal phone to my T- 
Mobile phone, but I have not experimented with that.   My number is  
clearly British.  Wierd to call from one Swiss mountain to another --  
or even next door--via England, but it worked fine, no complaints.  Ben
