Ma in Ticino, parlano più lentamente.
(But in Ticino, they speak more slowly)
I found Ticino to be a great place to practice Italian. English is spoken
there as a third or fourth language after Italian and German. A good number
of people do not speak English at all. However, they speak Italian at a more
relaxed pace than the Italians. I had a much easier time understanding the
Ticinese, and I always tried to speak Italian first. It was a great
experience.
