My gosh, just walk around Paris for five days and it won't be enough. The last day I was in Paris I walked along the Seine in the rain and it is one of my best travel memories. Paris never disappoints.

> I think you'll need to skip Normandy and champagne country this trip. Paris is so full of wonderful museums and sights that you'll need all your time there. Versailles is a full day but worth it. Try to add Sainte-Chapelle (it's awesome, and won't take you all day), hit the hightlights in the Louvre (it really would take several days and even a full day will be overwelming), The Orsay Museum is definetly worth a visit, and if you are a fan of impressionism, do try to fit in L'Orangerie with Monet's works. Again, L'Orangerie won't take all day, but is worth it. Monet's water lilies are unbelievble. I for one wouldn't think of taking a whole day to shop -- I can shop at home - shop along the way from one delightful musuem to the next. I do agree that a night time boat trip down the Seine is worth it. Skip the dinner cruise, concentrate on the sights. The Louvre, L'Orangerie, and Orsay are close to each other. Notre-Dame and St. Chapelle are close. Also close to Notre Dame is the Deportation Memorial. It won't take long and it's very moving, and will leave you with a lasting memory. Check out Rick Steves for hotel suggestions. Those are my top suggesstions. You can't go wrong in this city.
