Phil and Jane,
The trip to the top of the Jungfrau is indeed expensive but I rank it as one of the most spectacular, truly memorable things I've ever done over years of going to Europe. I did it the second year of Untours (1976). I would urge you to do it if you can at all afford it. After all these years, I can still remember going through the RR tunnel going up, walking outside on the snow at the top of the glacier, having lunch in the restaurant, watching skiers, and going to the weather observatory at the very top. It was expensive then too. Be sure you have a clear day; we had to wait about a week for the right day. When a clearing front came through we went part way up to the Schilthorn the day before the Jungfrau trip to be sure it would be clear for the Jungfrau trip.
Enjoy,
Don

Subject: [Idyllchat] Switzerland Questions
Has anyone done the trip to the top of the Jungfrau and/or paragliding in Interlochen? If so, please send me your comments about the cost and what you thought of the experience.
This summer be our 5th trip to the Heartland and we are taking our children, their spouses, and our 4 grandsons, ages 15, 10, 9, and 7, with us. We have never done the Jungfrau trip because we heard it is quite expensive. However, some of our kids are hoping to do the Jungfrau or paragliding, or even both.
We welcome your input.
Thanks.
Phil and Jane King, Spring Lake, MI
