I've been near that neighborhood in Brooklyn but not actually in it.
Neighborhoods can change quickly in New York, so unfortunately, I can't tell
you what it's like. I can, however, point out that if it is a decent
neighborhood, that the L train is only a couple of blocks away which will
get you to Union Square in Manhattan in about 10 stops which I would have to
guess is about 25-30 minutes. The only time I'm on the subway in Brooklyn is
to follow the NYC marathon. I don't take the L. I've been to Williamsburg
for trapeze class, but I drive, so again, no L train.
