Wef also stayed in this hotel at Christmas of 1998 while our daughter was
studying in Angers.  Very good service with breakfast as an additional fee.
As Ed said the view from the balcony was excellent and was one bridge away
from the Louvre.  As I recall Notre Dame Cathedral was also within walking
distance.

Some years ago we stayed at a lovely hotel on the Seine (left bank) called
Hotel Du Quai Voltaire.  We had a third floor room with a balcony
overlooking the river.  It was inexpensive then because we never had a large
amount of money to spend.  We stayed there a week.  It is right across from
the Louvre and the Tulileries and walking distance to the Musee d'Orsay
where we stayed all of one day. I think they have a web site but you'll have
to Google it.  Have fun.  How we envy you. We always cry when we we leave
Paris, doesn't everyone?
