Some years ago we stayed at a lovely hotel on the Seine (left bank) called Hotel Du Quai Voltaire.  We had a third floor room with a balcony overlooking the river.  It was inexpensive then because we never had a large amount of money to spend.  We stayed there a week.  It is right across from the Louvre and the Tulileries and walking distance to the Musee d'Orsay where we stayed all of one day. I think they have a web site but you'll have to Google it.  Have fun.  How we envy you. We always cry when we we leave Paris, doesn't everyone?
