I missed the factories outside of Deruta, actually didn't know they were  
there.  But, oh the shops.  Lovely, and many of the artists work there  and you 
can watch them.  As to sending them home....
 
I think this is good advise no matter what you are buying......ALWAYS use a  
credit card.  If there is a problem the card company will help you with  it.
 
Bringing home things these days is very difficult, so at the end of my  trip 
I took everything to a "Mailbox, Etc." and they packaged it for me,  etc.  
Although we were leaving that day, our box arrived the day after we  got home!!!! 
  It was expensive but when you think how much the items  cost you just have 
to add that in and everything was perfect when opened.
