The tour in Greece from Nafplio would be impossible without an 
automobile.  The one provided is a stick-shift but you can upgrade (for 
$) to an automatic.  Parking is just a short 2 blocks away from the 
center of town.  All the directions to the sites are specific as to 
driving time and routes.  Signs are in Greek and English so you should 
have no problems with directions.
