[Idyllchat] Train travel in Tuscany

After reading the lovely note of Margaret Peters about her 15 of so Idyll trips and using the train exclusively; it made us wonder what our chances are of making it to Italy once again.  Tuscany would be our choice so that we could visit my wife's relatives one more time who live near Lucca.  I really don't want to drive any more so I wonder how train travel is in and around the Untour site near Lucca. ( Northern Tuscany).  Any comments would be much appreciated.
