[Idyllchat] Costs for a family of four

Dear fellow Idyllchatters,
    Thank you all for your input and advice.  I'd be remiss if I didn't share the results with you.
    For a family of four, a week's expenses in the Swiss Heartland should range between $ 300 US/CHF and $ 420 US/CHF.  This is for groceries, restaurant meals a couple of times a week, and incidental spending.   
    It does not include the underlying costs for the Untours apartment or the Swiss Railpass.  It also does not include any costs that might be incurred in long day-trips, where train up-grades and reservations may be desired, or where an overnight hotel stay may be necessary.
