We had to change terminals in DFW last spring. They also have  
resolved this issue since you can change terminals on their inter- 
terminal train and remain inside the secure zone. There is no reason  
most major airports couldn't do the same thing. But, it takes money  
to construct the facilities and too many of the general public seems  
to think you can get all things nice by only cutting spending, not  
increasing revenues.

Another major issue going on is that it is in the interest of the  
government to have the general public think they are being protected  
by TSA. What better way than the very public show of all these  
security screenings!! Politics plays a significant role here folks.
