We were in Umbria on an Untour last fall when the Perugia chocolate
festival was going on. We drove into Perugia to visit before the
festival. Our untour group event was to go to the chocolate festival.
JoAnne, the Untour local contact, had us meet outside Perugia and
take the train into the city. I believe we took the train from Ponte
S. Giovanni, but I am not positive. I tried to find our notes on that
and we apparently didn't get home with that one. Even with a full
page of directions from JoAnne on driving from Spoleto to Perugia and
into a parking garage, we managed to circle a few block area before
we got into the parking garage! My personal advice would be to look
into using the train if you are going in during the festival. It is
very crowed in the city center during that.
