Just a short note to let you all know that when we returned from Italy last week, we had to change planes in Paris at the dreaded CDG. I was expecting the worst because of all the horror stories I have read. However, I am happy to report that we had no trouble at all navigating through the airport and found everyone most helpful.  We had 2 hours to connect to our flight and although we didn't have a ton of time to waste, we managed to get in a quick lunch.
