[Idyllchat] Sending luggage ahead

Laura: Perhaps someone more experienced than I can comment on this. I think
you may be describing two different situations.
First situation: Traveling passengers and bags must match. Second
situation: Bags that have been misdirected must find their way to their
owners. This is the responsibility of the airlines, and there is no
passenger. They are bar coded differently
Does that make sense? Regretfully, it is not unusual for baggage to play
catch-up these days. We hold our breath at the final destination watching
the baggage carousel these days.
I just read a travel article regarding your initial question. There are
many ways
to send bags ahead. These services are provided by a number of companies
(DHL, etc.) This is not an inexpensive solution.
Forgive me if I am not interpreting your message correctly. Sounds like
you are an experienced traveler. As always, pack light, take emergency
items with you, including a practical change of clothing in case your bags
take a few days. Cheers. Joan.
