[Idyllchat] Sending luggage ahead

Until last month I would have believed that luggage
wasn't allowed on a plane without an accompanying
passenger. In 2002 my granddaughter and I were
detained for an hour on the tarmac along with all the
other passengers on a plane going from Paris to
Newark, NJ. The reason? There was luggage aboard that
did not belong to a passenger on the plane.
However, this August, the same granddaughter and I
went to Tennessee and our suitcases went to Paris
without us. Delta's personnel seemed to find that
rather amusing as they traced them, first saying the
suitcases were in Cincinnati, the next day, same
story, third day hers was in Cincinnati, mine in
Paris, fourth day both were in Paris. I was actually
told the chances of getting them back were pretty low
but 8 days later mine safely arrived and hers did the
next day. On the return trip they went from Paris to
Atlanta to Nashville to Newark.
