[Idyllchat] First trip to Germany

Hi Linda:  We love Germany.  I am going to send you a Kodak Gallery Invitation to look at our 2005 Castle Untour trip.  Think this will give you a feeling of the beauty of this area.  We enjoy driving in Germany, taking small leisurely drives to a destination, and then in the interest of time, returning on the autobahn or vice-versa.  We stayed in the Castle, in apartment Carola.   The Castle hosts, including Moritz the dog are just terrific hosts.  The Castle is very close to all the Romantic road villages.  Also included in the album is our second two week Untour to Austria.  The Castle and Austria makes a nice combination.  We have visited the Rhine, Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, Munich on our own--you will enjoy wherever you choose to visit.

  My husband and I are planning our first trip to Germany next year. Has anyone gone on the Sampler tour or is the 2 week tour a better option? Any suggestions on the towns? or sights to see or things to do? We have never traveled outside of the US before so any advice is very welcome! Thanks!
