As a New Yorker, with the advent of the AirTrain, they have made it much
easier to get between terminals. The problem with JFK is that it has 9
terminals. Delta domestic and international fly out of 2 sides of the same
terminal, so going between them shouldn't be bad. The problem with New York
is that flight security is very tight, but they try to move it along by
adding more scanners and lines. I can't remember if you have to go outside
security to go between the domestic and international sides of the Delta
terminal. You will obviously have to go through passport control to get into
the international terminal, but that is usually quick.
There was a recent article about connecting airports in Europe that somebody
sent out. It rated Munich as the #4 European airport overall and the #1 to
connect through. There were strong votes for Zurich as well. I'm sure you
can search for it, or someone could repost the link to the article.
