Hi:

We were in Umbria in late October. The weather was still
mild and all you will need are sweaters and light weight
jackets. We stayed at Casale Grande and it was a good place
to stay--very roomy and close to everything. We walked into
town several times where there were grocery stores and
restaurants. We did day trips to Orvieto, Spello,
Montefalco, and Norcia. All worthwhile. There is an
excellent restaurant in Montefalco--Cocorone.

We tried to see Assisi, but it was so crowded, we couldn't
find a parking space and gave up. Don't go on a Sunday.

Other restaurants we enjoyed were Il Caminetta (near apt),
Magiolino in Trevi, Enoteca Properzio in Spello, and dinner
at the Mandorli property.

Have a great trip!
