Hi Michaela,
I'm living in the plains of Switzerland, in Olten - but my mother
lives in Meiringen - and I'm sure, she would have called me if they
had gotten snow in Meiringen! I agree, it wasn't the warmest and
sunniest summer here in Switzerland - and right now we are having a
cold snap that announces the fall season. It is realy possible, that
you are able to see the snow at Meiringen, on the mountain tops but
not across the street...
For local weather, got to the website of The Weather Channel. They
have the forecast for Interlaken, a bigger town just 25 km from
Meiringen: http://tinyurl.com/2qhvv3 (the service of tinyurl.com is
absolutely trustworty, it makes a short URL out of a long one).
Expect about the same weather than in Interlaken. A warm sweater
and a jacket is advisable, it can be cold - at least in the morning
and in the evening.
Kind regards from Switzerland,
Stefan
