Yes, I found the Versailles site via Rick Steves Paris 2007 book. I've already accumulated a stack of paper 1/4" thick of things I've printed from this site. If this keeps up, I'll need a suitcase just for my research information.

  Thanks for the tip.

    Bill and Eleanor,

I'm just catching up on my Idyllchatter's messages. When I was reading all about the Versailles trip for you, I remembered that when we were there, years ago, a group of visitors with wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, etc. were also in the rooms with us. They had their own guide and were having a grand time.

So I Googled Versailles and got to the"official site" www.chateauversailles.fr . Click on English. Knowing how thorough you are, you may have already seen this site, but I didn't want you to not see it....... (there are lots of sites, but most are just tour companies or travel services....look for Official in the title).

I scrolled down, clicked on "access" and it gives phone #s to call to get reservations, tickets, etc. Another section gives prices for the different tours. Lots of info on this site.....and very interesting, too.

Have a grand time in Paris. You might also Google "tourist help for the disabled in Paris, France" and see what you get about using the buses, trains, sidwalks, etc. I can't wait to read your journal and visit Paris via your photos when you return!!!! Happy traveling. Kell Brown
