I think peanut has been available in the Spar stores  for a good many 
years.  I remember finding it in a store in Garmisch-Partenkirschen back 
in the early 90s, and a Spar store we shopped in while in Estonia 10 
years ago even had it!  But we haven't found it in Italy.

We have enjoyed being able to get the mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise 
in the squeeze tubes for years because they are so handy for picnics and 
easy to carry around in your backpack.  I've wished they would catch on 
in the US, but the closest we will come will be the big fat squeeze 
bottles they now use!
