I see these sort of messages come through a lot.  I don't know if you're aware of it, but many email clients (including some webmail) allow you to set up "rules" or filters that will automatically sort your email into designated folders.  Look under "tools" or "settings".

It might take an hour or so to set up, depending upon what your usual email load is, but believe me, it's worth it.  Much less stressful to come home after a week or two and deal with your important email first (such as my '"friends and family" folder) and then attend to your lesser emails (I usually just skim though "stores" and then delete most of it).
