[Idyllchat] SFO

Happy Thanksgiving to all! SFO is "home" port for us. It is accessible by numerous modes of transportation. We can actually ferry to SF from Marin County, transfer to BART (rapid transit), or a SAMTrans bus directly to the terminal. From all parts of the bay area there are airporters--ours happens to leave every 30 minutes up to midnight. The restaurants are good--we always go early and have lunch or dinner before our flights, as airline meals are not as appealing as in the past (understatement). So hurrah to SFO for providing outstanding service to Bay Area residents, and those passing through. Cheers. Joan.

P. S. TSA security is very efficient, actually cheerful, and now they have a security "fast pass" for frequent travelers for a small charge. However, we have never waited long, even in heavy departure times.

Hi folks: I love the discussion of airports. I haven't been in one for a number of years so I have little to add to the chat. However I would like to know what anyone thinks of SFO now that they have made so many improvements, including the "tram" from BART to the terminals. We are planning on a trip soon and would love to hear comments about our "beloved" airport'
