  It is located 1 mile from SFO.  They have a shuttle to and from the airport.  This is part of Choice Hotels International.  If you are over 60 years old, don't make your reservation on line.  Call the reservations number (1-877-424-6423) and ask for the 60+ rate.  I think they offer it here.  I just don't remember.  If it is available, you'll get another 10% off of the 50+ rate.

    Hello Bill  -  What hotel did you stay at near SFO?  We have a very early morning flight out of SFO  -  can't take BART because it doesn;t operate at 5 A.M.!!!!  Thanks for your help.

        We arrived and departed through SFO in July, 2006.  There was no problem.  The tram took us to the rental car area and back.  It was very easy to pick up our rental car and drive into San Francisco.

        When returning home, we stayed at a hotel very near the airport and took a shuttle bus (we turned in the rental car the day before).

          Hi folks:  I love the discussion of airports.  I haven't been in one for a number of years so I have little to add to the chat.  However I would like to know what anyone thinks of SFO now that they have made so many improvements, including the "tram" from BART to the terminals.  We are planning on a trip soon and would love to hear comments about our "beloved" airport'
