I have to differ. We moved to Boston in August '06 - our neighborhood, 
Dorchester, is in South Boston - and have found getting to Logan by car 
a breeze. Yes, there's occasionally traffic, but normally it takes about 
  twenty minutes for us, and we haven't had any problems parking. This 
is a particular pleasure, because we used to have to drive an hour to 
get to the airport in Harrisburg, PA and then of course fly to 
Washington or Philadelphia or even Chicago for international destinations.
