BaseballHi Connie:  Thanks for the wonderful update on autumn in the Heartland.  Knew you loved "oreo" cookies, but being a fan of baseball and football puts you at the top of the list!  Naming your kitty "Yankee" authenticates your love of the game.  Do not fret over the end of baseball season--there are less than 100 days before the beginning of Spring Training!  

Jay Cloit mentioned Euro 2008.  No way would we miss it.  We will be in Sachseln at the Greuterts' during the tournament.  Traveling to UK and Europe got us hooked on real "football".  The soccer channel is a fixture in our home.  

Also thanks for news of Berit--she looked good in Vance's photo at the Untours Cafe page.  Hope your daughter is doing well.  See you in June 2008, enjoy the holidays, and soon you will smell the fresh mown grass and hear the crack of the bat, albeit from afar!  Cheers.  Joan.

  Well, we are paying for a special sports channel who are showing Baseball and Football from the USA. That's great - just too bad the season of baseball is over! That's why I'm sooooo sad! Now that we finally get these channels, there is no baseball game anymore! Well, have to help myself by watching the ski races, that's cool too! Hope Body Miller is going to be faster then the other ones (he could end up maybe behind a Swiss, but.... Always in front of all the Austrian!!!) Sorry, Austrian guys, but they know they are the best anyway...
