[Idyllchat] re: rental car questions for end of Umbria tour

Drove back from Spolleto in the fall of 2005 with no problems until the Rome "ring road".
 
They were working on the highway and narrowed 4 lanes down to 2.  I'm a "type-A" driver, so I muscled my way through like a local.
 
The biggest problem was locating the Avis dropoff.  We saw signs early...but then kept missing the last turn into the parking garage.  After 3 circles of the complex we found it.
 
Gas was available just beyond the airport as mentioned in the Idyll information.
