[Idyllchat] rental car questions for end of tour

A number of years ago when we were returning to the States from Rome Fiumicino we booked a very small (it was bare necessities!!) hotel room at the Riviera Hotel in Fiumicino (a small seaside town close to the Fiumicino Airport).  We returned our rental car after checking in and then took a local bus back to the hotel.  Then we walked the streets, down to the beach and had a simple dinner in a family run trattoria.  The hotel arranged for an early shuttle pick-up for us to the airport and it worked just fine.

The only hotel I know of AT the Fiumicino Airport is the Hilton and it is quite expensive...but you can actually walk to the International Terminal from it.

We found and booked the Rivera Hotel through www.venere.it .
