Looking for recommendations on a hotel - Untours offers to make 
reservations for us at 3

We did the South Tuscany UnTours last October - WONDERFUL! Anyway, we 
had Idyll reserve us a room at the Pendini at the end of the trip. It 
is simple and old, but clean. Of curse, there is breakfast in the 
morning. It is in the upper floors of a building that has offices in 
the lower floors. When we were there the main entrance was under some 
sort of construction so we had to use a less convenient side 
entrance. Possibly the construction is now finished and you could use 
the main entrance again. What the Pendini has going for it is 
location. It has an optimum location being in convenient walking 
distance to virtually all of the sights. If you drop off your rental 
car in Florence it is a short cab ride from the Avis office - you 
could even walk it but with luggage I wouldn't recommend it. When we 
return to Tuscany we will probably again add some days at the Pendini 
at the end of the trip.
